Soaking this in, rolling it around in my brain. Cause I need it to permeate every part of me.
By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. 2 Peter 1:3
This is GOOD news, real good. The issue is believing it when I don’t feel that I have what I need to make it through the day. Not enough patience. Not enough smarts. Not enough grace. Not enough strength. Not enough love or kindness……
And that’s why I’m meditating on this truth, this week.
By His divine power….everything I need. EVERYTHING. E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G. You got it, girl!! Because He has given it to you!
In other news, summery business is afoot around here:
Forts are being built.
Kids are building with Legos every day.
Camping may have occurred in the garage the other night. (It’s what you do in a windy place).
Water is being played in, and with, and around.
A bunny hops free in the back yard with the rest of the gang, cause we’re just cool like that!
Summer camp is nearing completion for my Pastor hubby. Seven more days, then he is done for the year. (*Big sigh of relief will escape from me at that point*).
The Huxtable family has been introduced to our children and nary a day goes by that they aren’t in our living room, eliciting the silliest of laughs from our two oldest. LOVE that show!!
Artwork is being created.
Wood is being cut, sanded, chiseled….
Kid’s rooms are getting little makeovers.
One totally in-love set of parents had their 14th anniversary last week. MMM-HMMM! That’s what I’m talkin’ about!
Sourdough bread is in the oven. (This warm coastal weather is great for growing a good sourdough).
Popsicles have run out.
Friends are coming in August!!
Baby Girl is wearing braids!
Parents are learning to be firm, yet full of grace.
