“Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:8 NAS
I love God’s Word. As you know if you’ve been reading my blog, I’m going through the Love Dare with my Bible study group. Though I’ve felt a lot of the dares are not applicable to me and my marriage per se, I have gotten so much out of just studying and being renewed in God’s love. My deepest desire is to love like this;
” Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” NIV
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
So, this is Spring Break week in our state, and the five-day forecast is rain, rain, and more rain. Guess we’ll be inside a lot this week….the perfect breeding ground for impatience and irritability with each other, especially when yet another fort has been built and every toy pulled out, and the kids ask yet again if they can watch something.
The things I’ve been meditating on and practicing this last month will be just the thing to make this a fun week, and I’m looking forward to these days, despite my plans for outdoor Springy things.
Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.” 1 John 3:18 NLT
Time to go put this stuff into practice…
Catch ya later!
