2011 ~ In Pictures
January was the month I turned 30! And since it’s the first birthday I’ve celebrated without rain or cold weather, I thought it was worth sharing!
February was cold and we saw snow stick twice. That’s big news for coast dwellers!
We celebrated our oldest’s sixth birthday in March. His two wishes were to go back to the city he was born in and go swimming. DONE!
In April we welcomed our third child, a BIG boy, at 9lbs 3oz.
May was the month we settled into life with a baby and enjoyed lots of visitors celebrating our newest addition.
June saw Half-pint CAUGHT, and our oldest graduate from Kindergarten.
In July, we celebrated our country’s freedom with a good-old-fashioned parade, then ate the candy the kids collected for the next three months.
August was berry month! Lots of picking blackberries, blueberries, and a few huckleberries.
September was the start of first grade for one and a celebration of five years for the other.
And, to top the month off, our Oldest decided it was time to follow the Lord in baptism. He got dunked at our church’s annual picnic. Lucky duck got hot water in that trough. It was a very special day for us!
October was soccer month for us with two kids playing now.
November included a trip down South for Thanksgiving and a family picture almost five years in the making. We’ve added a few faces since the last one.
December brought a long anticipated vacation up North where the kids got to learn how to ski for the first time.
2011 is gone, leaving us with moments of wonder, struggle, tenderness, and blessing to remember in the days and years to come. Moments to cherish forever because our eternal God gave them to us and brought us through them, for His glory.
“To God be the glory, great things He has done.
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son!”
